RV Park Near Charlotte, NC
Charlotte is such a fun city to explore and it’s actually quite easy to get around using their robust public transport system. The LYNX Blue Line runs from UNC Charlotte down through NoDa, Uptown, and South End, so you can hop neighborhoods without doing the parking shuffle all day. And if you like a good pint, you’re in the right town! Charlotte has 30+ local breweries, with taprooms sprinkled all over (especially along that light rail corridor).
Things to do while in Charlotte

NASCAR Hall of Fame
Charlotte is NASCAR country, so it’ makes sense’s no shocker that the Hall of Fame is right there in downtown. Inside, you’ll see legendary cars, driver gear, and exhibits that show how much engineering and teamwork actually goes into race day. Even if you’ve never watched a full race, the simulators and hands-on displays pull you in fast. Fun fact: most NASCAR teams are based in or around Charlotte, which is why the city’s racing ties run so deep.

U.S. National Whitewater Center
The Whitewater Center is a 1,300-acre property with 40+ miles of trails for walking, running, and mountain biking, and you can use the trail system without an activity pass (you just pay for parking). If you’re coming for the main event, the man-made whitewater channels are the big draw, and on Thu–Sat nights from May to September, River Jam means live outdoor music.

Alexander Michael’s
Alexander Michael’s (locals usually just say “Al Mike’s”) has been around long enough to earn its reputation the old-fashioned way. It’s tucked into the Fourth Ward and serves classic comfort food. Shrimp and grits, meatloaf, sandwiches, and a chalkboard menu. It’s a casual spot full of regulars, which is usually how you know you’re in the right place.
